March 19, 2020The Organizing Committee of the Rhodes International Marathon, placing in immediate priority the defence of individual and public health, adapting to the measures of the Greek government and following the instructions of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the containment of the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19, decided to postpone the 7th race in a row that was to be held on 3 May 2020.
The new date of the Rhodes Marathon is set for April 18, 2021, as it is in line with the goals and vision of the race, which has steadily evolved into an institution, conquering the recognition of the international sports community. The Rhodes Marathon is always held at the beginning of the tourist season, helping to stimulate traffic and promote the destination, attracting runners from all over the world, who combine the experience of running with holidays in one of the most popular travel destinations.
The Organizing Committee feels the need to ask for the understanding of the runners for the inconvenience that the transfer of the race to a later date may cause, but in the difficult times experienced by Greece and all of humanity, the protection of human life is above all else.
All entries made so far are valid for next year's race without requiring a new entry from the runners. An email will be sent to all participants with information on how to manage their entry.
The Organizing Committee would like to thank all those who have worked so far for the race and especially the sponsors, supporters and volunteers, who from the very first moment, showed confidence and stood by the Rhodes International Marathon. We are confident that in the new year, with a new mood and even greater appetite and combined with the knowledge and experience already gained, the best Marathon of Rhodes will be organized!
Until then, we propose to all, to obey the instructions given by the State and the country's scientists, so that we emerge victorious in a short period of time and with the least possible losses, from this difficult struggle against an invisible opponent!

The Rhodes International Marathon is held with the certification of the SEGAS and the International Road Marathon Federation AIMS, on an excellent coastal route that highlights the best of Rhodes' sights.
