March 29, 2019The sponsor of the children's race this year is Rodos Palace, strengthening its cooperation with the organization. Rodos Palace is one of the main allies of the Rhodes International Marathon and on the occasion of the celebration of its 45 years of operation, Rodos Palace supports the participation of children in the biggest sporting event of the island.

Rodos Palace will give a special colour to the great sporting event as it supports, on the occasion of its 45th anniversary, the participation of children (10 to 12 years old) and gives them the opportunity to cultivate the Sporting Values and the ideals of the sport that is a symbol of human will and world peace.", Rodos Palace said in a statement.
The children's race (1000m) is the most "tender" part of the Rhodes International Marathon. The children with their smiles, energy and optimism, give a special touch to the event, having the opportunity to feel the joy of participation.

One of our main objectives is to promote the sporting ideal, to support local athletic clubs and the active participation of children and young people. We are glad to have Rodos Palace by our side in this effort.", said the President of the O.E. of the Rhodes International Marathon, Mrs. Marietta Papavassiliou.
It is noted that the participants of the 1000m (primary school students born in the years 2007, 2008, 2009) will be given with their registration: a bag, a commemorative T-shirt, a commemorative medal. Water and medical services will be provided.
The major sponsor of the event is ERT. The Official Carrier of the Rhodes International Marathon is AEGEAN airlines, which offers 20% discount on tickets for all travellers to Rhodes from all Greek and European destinations included in its flight schedule. Blue Star Ferries, is the Official Ferry Sponsor and offers 50% discount to passengers and 30% to vehicles travelling with its ferries to Rhodes from Piraeus, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros and Syros.
The name sponsor of the 5 km race is the H Hotels collection. Atrium Hotels is the volunteer sponsor and Rodos Palace is the sponsor of the children's race. Mitsis Grand Hotel is the hospitality sponsor and the major sponsors are completed with Sunrise Hotel & Adidas
The Best western plaza hosts the secretariat of the race. The green footprint of the race is ensured by the electric cars of Kosmokar-Xenakis SA/ASEM.
