Record number of participants expected in the 6th International Marathon Road Rhodes!

Preparations for the 6th International Marathon Road Race of Rhodes, which will take place on Sunday 14 April 2019, are continuing at a fast pace. The Organizing Committee is taking care of the last details of the top sporting event of the South Aegean, which according to the data and estimates will have record numbers of participants.

The registration for the Marathon (42.195m.), as well as for the smaller races that accompany it (half marathon, 10.000m., 5.000m.) will be completed on March 31, 2019. Here, the Organizing Committee informs the interested parties that the athlete's number, apart from the timing chip, will also include his or her full name.

For the 1km race. Elementary School race, registrations will be accepted until Friday 29 March 2019. As stated in the notice, entries will be made electronically. Participation can be registered online at: www.rhodesmarathon.gr

ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE

The right to participate in the Marathon and Half Marathon races are men and women who have reached the age of 18 years, while for the 10 km race they must have reached the age of 15 years and for the 5 km race the age of 12 years.

For all runners under the age of 18, the written consent of a parent or guardian is required.

In the 1km race for Primary School Students, students born between 2007 and 2009 are eligible to participate. A prerequisite for the participation of underage runners is the sending or presentation of their student ID card and the solemn declaration of consent of their guardian by the official deadline for registration.

The major sponsor of the event is ERT. The Official Carrier of the Rhodes International Marathon is AEGEAN airlines, which offers 20% discount on tickets for all travellers to Rhodes from all Greek and European destinations included in its flight schedule. Blue Star Ferries, is the Official Ferry Sponsor and offers 50% discount to passengers and 30% to vehicles travelling with its ferries to Rhodes from Piraeus, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros and Syros.

The name sponsor of the 5 km race is the H Hotels collection group.

Atrium Hotels is a volunteer sponsor and Rodos Palace is a sponsor of the children's race. Mitsis Grand Hotel is the hospitality sponsor and the big sponsors are completed by Sunrise Hotel & Adidas

The Best Western Plaza Hotel hosts the secretariat of the race. The green footprint of the race is ensured by the electric cars of Kosmokar-Xenakis SA/ASEM. The runners quench their thirst with the water of BAP Kougios, while the race is supported once again by the betting website interwetten, the Pharmaceutical Association of Dodecanese, the Greek cosmetics GARDEN of Panthenols, the company Kaukas, DERM.A.E. the Semiramis Hotel and Amstel free and adidas.

This year's digital sponsor of the race is the marketing company Dingo and the sponsor of the race abroad is ANT1 Satellite.
