The International Marathon of Rhodes, which was held for 7 years, entered a new eraη year with great success on April 10, 2022 on the "Emerald Isle". For the first time in its history, there was a direct TV broadcast from ERT3 and thus all Greeks had the opportunity to experience this special race and get to know the beauties of Rhodes through the four-hour live broadcast.
The Organizing Committee of the Rhodes International Marathon is pleased to announce that the excellent cooperation with the state television will continue for the next two years, as ERT3 as a communication sponsor will broadcast the 2023 and 2024 games live.
The agreement is a great success for the Rhodes Marathon as it gives the opportunity to even more people to get to know the event, creating at the same time, even greater growth potential for the race that has entered well into the hearts of Greek and foreign runners.
For the cooperation with ERT3, the President of the Organizing Committee Marietta Papavassiliou said: "I would like to thank the management of ERT3 for the continuation of the cooperation that has only benefits for both sides. For us it is the best springboard to further develop our race and to promote the uniqueness of the Rhodes International Marathon throughout Greece. At the same time it gives us the opportunity to communicate to every corner of Greece the beauties and advantages of our island".
Ο 8ous International Marathon of Rhodes will be held on April 30, 2023 and preparations for its organization have already begun.
Registrations for the 8th Marathon of Rhodes have already opened for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5 and 10 km events, on the race's website https://www.rhodesmarathon.gr/ and is an opportunity for those interested to benefit from preferential prices on tickets and accommodation, combining the stay in Rhodes with the holiday of May Day.
Co-organizers of the race are the Non-profit Civil Society MARATHON OF RHODES, η EAS SEGAS Dodecanese, η Region of South Aegean and the Municipality of Rhodes-DOPAR. Also, the race is supported by the Dodecanese Chamber of Commerce, while it is under the auspices of GNTO & the Ministry of Tourism. It is carried out with the certification of the SEGAS and the International Road Marathon Federation AIMS, on an excellent coastal route that includes famous sights of the Rhodes.
