The "big family" of the 7th International Marathon of Rhodes was honored!

In a wonderful atmosphere offered by the "Baia Seaside", with a lot of fun and good mood, the Organizing Committee of the Rhodes International Marathon organized on Friday the party of sponsors, supporters and volunteers of the 7th Rhodes Marathon/Roads To Rhodes Marathon.

This is the established event which actually closes the event, the preparation of which began many months ago and culminated in the race of 10 April 2022.

The Organizing Committee, recognizing the contribution of all, apart from the athletes and judges, honored one by one all those who supported morally and materially the 7th International Marathon of Rhodes, which was a complete success!

The hostess of the evening, the President of the Organizing Committee Mrs. Marietta Papavassiliou, who thanked everyone, saying.After two years, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are back closer to normal conditions. The 7th Rhodes International Marathon was held with the physical presence of athletes from all over Greece and from every possible and unlikely place on the planet. We dared and we succeeded! And we succeeded thanks to you, who are the Rhodes Marathon family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do for the race, but also for our beautiful and hospitable island."

Before the awards of the commemorative plaques, the Rhodes International Marathon Road also showed its social face by offering two gift vouchers to the Orthopaedic Clinic of the Rhodes Hospital and to the volunteer team EOPK C.B. DODEKANISOU - VOLUNTARY DISASTER PREVENTION TEAM to cover their needs.

The first to be invited was the South Aegean Regional Governor, Mr. George Hadjimarkos, who in his brief greeting said that... "the Rhodes Marathon is an established and very successful event, which has been warmly embraced by all Rhodians and together with the cycling and tennis races of Rhodes, they open in the best way the tourist season on our island".

The International Marathon of Rhodes, under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, is held under the certification of the SEGAS and the International Road Marathon Federation AIMS, on an excellent coastal route that highlights the best of Rhodes' attractions. Co-organizers of the race are the Non-profit Civil Society MARATHON RODOS, the Dodecanese SEGAS, the South Aegean Region and the Municipality of Rhodes-DOPAR.
