The top Marathon runner Maria Polyzou returns to Rhodes, in order to run in the 7ο International Marathon to be held on 10 April 2022.
Maria Polyzou, who apart from her athletic abilities, is a role model for the courageous battle she fought with cancer and from which she emerged victorious, will talk about all this, at the presentation of her book "DON'T GIVE UP", on the eve of the game, on Saturday 9 April at the Nestorideion Gymnasium.
For its participation in the International Marathon of Rhodes, η Maria Polyzou said: "I am very happy that after a long period of abstinence due to the pandemic, and my personal health adventure with breast cancer, I am back to sporting activity and road racing. For me it is a great pleasure to participate in the race, which I have very good memories and friends , as in 2018 I was second in the general classification in the marathon.
This year my race is dedicated to ELIZA for abused children. At ELIZA we dare to dream of a society that joins its voice in the command for Zero Tolerance to Child Abuse and for a strong and informed family to prevent the sad phenomenon of childhood deprivation. Every child should have a voice to speak up if something bad happens in their lives. This year, the fight is sacred and dedicated to the war in Ukraine
I will be back in beautiful Rhodes and I will take part in the race symbolically and as an OLYMPIAN in the 10 km race and as a coach of MARATHON TEAM GREECE, to support my runners.
I am particularly pleased to be invited by the organisers to present my book 'DON'T GIVE UP' keybooks on Saturday 9 April in the afternoon at the Nestorideio Melathro and we will talk about how to never give up , no matter how many difficulties and obstacles come into our lives. I wish you a good race and a great event. See you in Rhodes".
Registrations for the 7th Marathon of Rhodes which will take place on 10 April 2022 continue for the events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km race, 5 km race on the race website https://www.rhodesmarathon.gr/.
Eligibility for registration and participation in the event have the runners who will be fully vaccinated and those with a certificate of infection in the last 6 months.
Ο International Marathon of Rhodes, conducted with the certification of the SEGAS and the International Road Marathon Federation AIMS, on an excellent seaside route that highlights the best of Rhodes' attractions.

The Museum of Modern Greek Art of the Municipality of Rhodes (New Wing) will be the registration center for the race.
