Ambassadors of the 1st Rhodes Virtual Marathon representatives from the fields of sport, journalism and theatre

Representatives from the worlds of sport, journalism and theatre support 1^ο Rhodes Virtual Marathon that started on Friday 9 April and will end on Sunday 9 May, including Marathon, Half Marathon as well as 10km, 5km and 2km road races. 

The ambassadors of the first digital Rhodes Marathon, friends of the event, with their posts on social media, invite runners around the world to a new experience of running and active participation in the event.

Registration for the race started on Monday 15 March and will be completed on Wednesday 5 May via the Sporthive Live/Rhodes Virtual Marathon application or the Rhodes Marathon website rhodesmarathon.gr. Any athlete around the world can upload their time to the app from Friday 9 April until Sunday 9 May.

Social purpose

Part of the proceeds of the race will be donated to the Rhodes General Hospital to cover the needs associated with the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The Organising Committee of the Rhodes International Marathon supports the campaign to reduce the number of cases of Covid-19 disease by supporting the efforts of the Rhodes Island Hospital to achieve this goal.
