Comments on the 6th International Marathon of Rhodes

With a record in all areas was held in Rhodes on 14 April, the 6th International Marathon of the island that attracted almost 4,000 runners from all over the world. The record-breaking registrations in runners and countries, the best marathon time in Greece so far this year, the turnout of spectators, but also the warm embrace of the local community in the organization, prove the success of the race.

Apart from the records, the success of the event is reflected in the rave messages and comments of the participants, which emphasize the impeccable organization, the ideal conditions, the selfless offer of the volunteers, as well as the beauty of the Rhodes.

Characteristic is the comment of the second in the Marathon event, George Minos Minos: "Rhodes Marathon: The most beautiful race for me. A marathon is not easy, but when it takes place in this beautiful island with this wonderful route by the sea, you forget everything ( fatigue, pain, the kilometers to finish ), because you just enjoy the beautiful colors of the sea, the stately castle, the super architectural buildings that take you back to other times. The aura of this race is incredibly positive and this is definitely contributed to by not only this amazing island but also by the super organizers who love what they do which is transmitted to all of us who took part in this beautiful celebration."

Ο Meike Villwock from the Dortmund, Germany sent the following message: "I would like to personally thank you for the wonderful experience I was lucky enough to live during the Rhodes International Marathon. The hospitality was top notch and the memories of the race, the excursions, the food and the people are something I will always remember."

Ο Molina Marathon from the Costa Rica, among other things, he wrote: "An excellent event. An excellent event. The beautiful and unique medal. The route with the stunning view of the Aegean Sea and the Old Town of Rhodes. I think everyone, at least once in their life, should run a marathon like the one in Rhodes. Rhodes has turned me into a better person."

Ο Marathon of Rhodes organized by the Region of South Aegean, the E.A.S S.E.G.A.S Dodecanese, him IOPAR of Municipality of Rhodes as well as with the support of Rhodes Hotel Association. It is held under the auspices of Greek Tourism Organisation and has been included in the official calendar of the AIMS.

Great Communication Sponsor was the ERT. The official air carrier of the Rhodes International Marathon was Aegean Airlines while the Blue Star Ferries was an Official Sponsor of Shipping. Named sponsor of the race of 5 km. the group The Hotels collection. The Atrium Hotels was a volunteer sponsor and the Rodos Palace sponsor of the children's race. The Mitsis Grand Hotel was the hospitality sponsor and the big sponsors are completed with the hotel Sunrise & Adidas.

The Best Western Plaza hosted again this year the secretariat of the race. The green footprint of the race was ensured by the electric cars of Kosmokar-Xenakis SA/ASEM. The runners thirsted with the water of the BAP Kouyos, while the match was once again supported by the betting website interwetten, ο Pharmaceutical Association of Dodecanese, the Greek cosmetics Garden of Panthenols, the company Cocks, η DERM.S.A.. the hotel Semiramis and the Amstel free. The sponsor of the digital promotion of the race was again the marketing company Dingo  and sponsor of the race abroad is the  ANT1 Satellite.
