March 14, 2019Ο International Marathon of Rhodes which will take place on 14 April 2019 and will be held for 6η for the second time in a row on the beautiful "emerald island", will have this year again the patronage of Ministry of Tourism and the EEA, who recognize that this is a great sporting event that promotes not only the Dodecanese and the Aegean Sea, but the whole of Greece.
By choosing an extremely attractive route next to the sea and the walls of Medieval City, the event attracts the interest of runners from Greece and abroad, placing the Rhodes on the world map of Sports Tourism and promoting the island as an ideal tourist destination 365 days the year.

In last year's race, on the occasion of the initiative of Region of South Aegean Run For Tourism, executives of Run For Tourism Ministry of Tourism and the EEA travelled to Rhodes and participated in the race, as part of the targeted actions for the connection of major sporting events with tourism and the extension of the tourist season, "365 days a year".
Registrations for the 6th International Marathon of Rhodes are ongoing and interested parties can register electronically on the race website for the distances of the Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 10 km. and the 5 km.
