May 10, 2018A few days have passed since the highly successful 5th Marathon of Rhodes and the Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the date of the event. 6th International Marathon which will be the 14th of April 2019!
The early announcement of the date for the next race, helps the better planning of the runners who can book their trip in time and at better prices, while the setting of April 14, helps to increase the tourist season in Rhodes.
The President of the Organizing Committee and Vice-Regional Governor of Sports, Tourism and Culture Marietta Papavassiliou stated: "The Rhodes International Marathon is a great sporting celebration in which athletes from all over Greece and the world meet. The success of this year's race, the positive comments of the runners and we are excited and give us strength to continue the effort to continue to upgrade the Marathon at all levels!
All this effort started from the love of a group of people to establish a great sporting event in Rhodes that will attract athletes from every corner of the world. We did not expect this tremendous response and we are happy to receive in multiples the love and energy we give. Thank you and we are committed to an even better event in 2019!"
The Organizing Committee would like to thank all those who participated and supported the 5th Marathon of Rhodes which were really many. Special mention must be made of most of the 400 volunteers who with a smile and good mood helped in the smooth running of the games, but also to the residents of Rhodes who embraced the event.
Also a big thank you to the sponsors who supported the Marathon. Gold sponsor was again this year Adidas through its local storeAdidas Rhodes and nominal sponsor of the race of 5 km. The Hotels collection. Also, the Aegean Airlines was the official aviation sponsor and the Blue Star Ferries, official sponsor of coastal transport.
The Sheraton Rhodes Resort supported the International Marathon as the main hospitality sponsor. Silver sponsor was TEN-T and volunteer sponsor was the hotels Atrium. Communication Sponsor of the 5th International Marathon of Rhodes is the Nova.
