Rhodes Marathon on Visit Greece!

March 27, 2018With great pleasure and honor the International Marathon of Rhodes and the Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon announce their twinning. This is an active and efficient synergy for the two successful Marathons with a common vision and actions.
The two organizing committees have decided on a series of joint actions such as:
- Exchange of delegations.
- Hosting the first winners of each event.
- Common racing packages.
- Common hospitality packages.
- Joint communication actions.
- Joint commercial cooperation.
All joint actions will be announced in detail in the coming weeks. Ο International Marathon of Rhodes is held on 29 April and the first joint meeting of the two Organising Committees will take place there.
On behalf of the organizing committee of the RadissonBlu Larnaca International Marathon, Mr. Costas Daltas stated: "It is a special honour for us to be twinned with the Rhodes International Marathon. The historicity of Rhodes and the many common elements it has in common with Larnaca provide a strong foundation for a harmonious and highly efficient cooperation. The running movement is one of the strongest and most growing at European level and the twinning of the RadissonBlu Larnaca International Marathon with the Rhodes International Marathon aims at a strong presence of both in the international running community".
For her part, the president of the organizing committee of the Rhodes International Marathon, Mrs. Marietta Papavassiliou, he stressed: "The twinning with the Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon honours and delights us. The coexistence of the two races, held in two beautiful island regions, honours the sporting ideal by promoting the values of solidarity and friendship. The two races share many common characteristics and I am sure that the twinning will be the springboard for their greater impact in the international running community.
We will be delighted to welcome the delegation from Larnaca on April 29th in Rhodes in order to officially announce the cooperation between us on the sidelines of the 5th International Marathon of Rhodes".
We note that the 2nd Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon will take place on 18/11/2018.
The registrations for the Marathon, him Half Marathon, but also the struggles of the 10 km., 5 km. and 1,000 metres for primary school students continue at the www.rhodesmarathon.gr. Registration is open daily, except Saturday and Sunday (09.00-13.00) and at the offices of the Dodecanese SEGAS SEGAS offices at 1 Vyronos Street.
Ο Marathon of Rhodes organized by the South Aegean Regiony, the E.A.S. S.E.G.A.S. Dodecanese and the IOPAR as well as with the support of Rhodes Hotel Association. It is held under the auspices of Greek Tourism Organisation and has been included in the official calendar of the AIMS.
