January 12, 2018
The 5th International Marathon of Rhodes, which will be held on April 29, 2018, will have two important athletes and is expected to set a new record for participation in all routes.
It is about the Greek Konstantinos Flevas and the British Martin Bush who will travel from England especially for this reason, as they both live permanently in Surrey. Flevas belongs to the category of Greek runners with the most marathons, as in less than 7 years he has finished 171 races, while Martin Bush has completed 922 races!
By the time they come to Greece, they are expected to have added about 20 marathons under their belt and their participation proves the reputation that the Rhodes International Marathon has created abroad, as other athletes of the 100 Marathon Club of London will travel with them to run. In this year's race, for the first time, cash prizes have been established for the first three winners of the Marathon and will be 1000 euros for the first in men and women, 400 euros for the second and 200 euros for the third, rewarding in this way, the effort of the best athletes who will run in Rhodes.
The registrations for the Marathon, the Half Marathon, but also the 10 km, 5 km and 1,000 meters for primary school students continue and those interested can register on the renewed website www.rhodesmarathon.gr, which has a wealth of information and visual material about the event. Registration is open daily, except Saturday and Sunday (09.00-13.00) and at the offices of the Dodecanese SEGAS SEGAS offices at 1 Vyronos Street.
