In a warm event in the hospitable space of Ronda Bar-Restaurant, the Organizing Committee

of the Rhodes International Marathon honoured all those who supported the 8th International Marathon of 2023. The traditional "Award Party" was attended by representatives of local stakeholders,

the sponsors and volunteer groups that offer their material and moral support,

in the leading sports festival of the Aegean, which has conquered its own special place

in the global running movement! The host of the celebration was the President of the Organizing Committee, Marietta Papavassiliou Vakiani who, among others, stressed:

 

"I would like to personally thank the organizing committee that volunteers almost all year round to make this race a reality. I would also like to thank the co-organizers, the South Aegean Region and especially the regional governor of South Aegean, George Hadjimarkos, who has been by our side from the very first moment and without him we could not have done it.

Finally, Ms. Marietta Papavasiliou referred to the financial support - support of associations, clubs and voluntary groups that support the race, as provided by the statutory purposes of the organization. Specifically, she stated that by decision of the Organizing Committee, part of the proceeds of the 8th Rhodes Marathon was allocated for the supply of necessary equipment to the Emergency Medical Services of Rhodes, to the Orthopaedic Clinic of the General Hospital of Rhodes, to EAS SEGAS Dodecanese, to the Selected Special Missions Group of Rhodes - EPOMEA, to the Disaster Response Team - OAK Rhodes and to the Photography Club CRoP - Creative Rodos Photographers.

The representatives of the above groups, associations and institutions, received from Mrs Papavasiliou symbolically the cheque of the respective amount offered.

With the "Award Party", the 2023 Rhodes Marathon went down in history, with the next appointment being on April 21, for the 9th International Marathon.
