\u039f <\/span>Marathon of Rhodes<\/b> proudly announces that it is officially a member of the elite of the Marathon races that make up the <\/span>Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Ranking Qualifying Series<\/b>, the first world age-based marathon classification system.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It will be the only race in Greece that is a member of this world elite race, offering points to the runners for the world ranking and participation in the finals of 2021!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants in a qualifying race <\/span>AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Ranking Qualifying Series<\/b>, such as the <\/span>Marathon of Rhodes<\/b>, will score points according to their age, time and gender, based on the following age groups for men and women: 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on this ranking, the top runners from around the world will qualify for the second <\/span>AbbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships<\/b>, which will be held in 2021. The participation period started on 30 September 2019 and will end on 11 October 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

The geographical spread of the selected marathon races that are part of the <\/span>AbbottWMM Wanda Agre Group World Rankings<\/b> creates a global event, giving runners around the world the opportunity to be part of the new era of marathon running.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, the <\/span>7th Marathon of Rhodes<\/b> which will take place on <\/span>3 May 2020,<\/b> in addition to all the other benefits, it will offer many points to runners aged 40 and over to give them the chance to qualify for the world finals.<\/span><\/p>\n
