All previous records in the number of countries participating in the race were broken by\u00a06ous<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0International Marathon of Rhodes<\/strong>\u00a0which will take place on Sunday 14 April, at the \"Emerald Isle\".<\/p>\n

With the deadline for registration in the\u00a0Marathon<\/strong>, the runners who will participate in the race come from\u00a046 countries<\/strong>, beating the 39 countries from the 2018 race. This truly great record, proves that the\u00a0Marathon of Rhodes<\/strong>\u00a0has established itself worldwide in the minds of runners, contributes significantly to the promotion of Rhodes and Greece abroad and attracts new categories of visitors, increasing the tourist season.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0President of the Organizing Committee<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Vice-Regional Head of Tourism, Culture and Sports of South Aegean<\/strong>,\u00a0Marietta Papavassiliou<\/strong>\u00a0\"We are very happy and proud of the new record achieved by the Rhodes Marathon. From the very first moment, apart from the athletic nature of the race, we focused on attracting runners and tourists to Rhodes and the Dodecanese, beyond the high tourist season and we see that we are achieving this goal. Our race is now recognized as an institution, not only in Greece, but also beyond the country's borders and that is why I want to thank all the members of the organizing committee, our partners, sponsors, volunteers and the people of Rhodes for their great contribution to the achievement of our goal. \u039f\u00a0Marathon of Rhodes<\/strong>\u00a0organized by the\u00a0Region of South Aegean<\/strong>, the\u00a0E.A.S S.E.G.A.S Dodecanese<\/strong>, him\u00a0IOPAR<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Municipality of Rhodes<\/strong>\u00a0as well as with the support of\u00a0Rhodes Hotel Association.<\/strong>\u00a0It is held under the auspices of\u00a0Greek Tourism Organisation<\/strong>\u00a0and has been included in the official calendar of the\u00a0AIMS.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Big Communication Sponsor is the\u00a0ERT<\/strong>. The official air carrier of the Rhodes International Marathon is\u00a0Aegean Airlines<\/strong>\u00a0which offers 20% discount on all passengers' tickets to Rhodes, from all Greek and European destinations included in its flight schedule. H\u00a0Blue Star Ferries<\/strong>, is an Official Sponsor of Ferry Transport and provides 50% discount to passengers and 30% to vehicles travelling with its ferries to Rhodes, from Piraeus, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros and Syros.<\/p>\n

Named sponsor of the 5 km race is the club\u00a0The Hotels collection<\/strong>. The\u00a0Atrium Hotels<\/strong>\u00a0is a volunteer sponsor and the\u00a0Rodos Palace<\/strong>\u00a0sponsor of the children's race.
