The 5,000m race, which is part of the programme of the 6th International Road Marathon on 14 April 2019, is expected to attract the largest number of athletes. Many are the Rhodians, as well as from other regions of Greece and abroad, who, wanting to take part in the island's top sporting event, have started...warming up, running kilometers for preparation at regular intervals, but also registering their participation (expiring on March 31).<\/span><\/p>\n

As in previous years, the start of the 5,000 meters will be from Rimini Square at \"Sound and Light\", while the finish will be at Liberty Square. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first group will start at 11.50am and the second at 11.52am. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the 5,000 metres race the notice states:<\/span><\/p>\n

Finish: Eleftherias Square, Altar of the Fatherland<\/span><\/p>\n

Description of the Route:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Rimini Square <\/span>\u27a2<\/span> Shachtouri Beach<\/span>\u27a2<\/span> Australia Street <\/span>\u27a2<\/span> Reversal at the intersection of Australia Street and I. Kapodistriou Street <\/span>\u27a2<\/span>Australia Street Shachtouri Beach<\/span>\u27a2<\/span> Freedom Gate<\/span>\u27a2<\/span>Finish: Centre of Rhodes, Eleftherias Square.<\/span><\/p>\n

The entries for the 6th International Marathon Road Rhodes that will be held on Sunday 14 April 2019, as well as for the smaller races that <\/span><\/p>\n

(half marathon, 10.000m, 5.000m) will be completed \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

on 31 March 2019. For the 1km race. Primary Schools, will be held <\/span><\/p>\n

until Friday 29 March 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The official carrier of the Rhodes International Marathon is AEGEAN, which offers a 20% discount on the tickets of all runners who will take part in the top sporting event of the southeastern Aegean. Also, the leading ferry company Blue Star Ferries, is the Official Shipping Sponsor and offers 50% discount to passengers (cabins & economy class) and 30% to vehicles that will travel with its ships to Rhodes, from Piraeus, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros and Syros.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
