At \"Best Western Plaza Hotel\", tomorrow, Thursday 14-03-2019 at 11.30 a.m., the Organizing Committee of the International Road Marathon will hold a press conference for the top sporting event in the South Aegean Region, organized for the sixth consecutive year.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the presence of the Technical Director of the race, Mr. Nikos Polias, many details will be announced, both of the Marathon and of the other races that accompany it, exactly one month before the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The International Marathon of Rhodes that will take place on 14 April 2019 and will be held for 6<\/span>\u03b7<\/span> for the second time in a row on the beautiful \"emerald island\", will again have the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organization, which recognize that this is a great sporting event that promotes not only the Dodecanese and the Aegean Sea, but the whole of Greece.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the choice of an extremely attractive route next to the sea and the walls of the Medieval City, the event attracts the interest of runners from Greece and abroad, placing Rhodes on the world map of Sports Tourism and promoting the island as an ideal tourist destination 365 days a year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The match will also be shown on the website <\/span>http:\/\/www.visitgreece.gr<\/span><\/a> as it is the best combination of sport and tourism and with its successful conduct for the past six years it has won the trust of runners, both in Greece and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n

In last year's race, on the occasion of the initiative of the South Aegean Region <\/span>Run For Tourism, executives of the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organisation travelled to Rhodes and participated in the race, at the <\/span>as part of the targeted actions to link major sporting events with tourism and extend the tourist season, \"365 days a year\".<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span>Registration for the 6th Rhodes International Marathon continues and those interested can register online at the race website: <\/span>https:\/\/rhodesmarathon.gr<\/span><\/a> for the distances of the Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 10 km. and the 5 km.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gold sponsor of the Rhodes Marathon is Adidas again this year. The Official Carrier of the Rhodes International Marathon is AEGEAN which offers 20% discount on the tickets of all runners who will take part in the top sporting event of the southeastern Aegean.
