The Organizing Committee has sent an invitation to the Dodecanese School Community to participate in the 5th International Marathon Road Race of Rhodes on 29 April 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The person in charge of the sector, Mrs. Adamantia Fatsea, who is the School Counsellor of Physical Education of the Dodecanese Prefecture, sent the following letter to the Directors:<\/span><\/p>\n

\"It is with great pleasure that we invite your school community, teachers, students and parents, to participate in the 5th International Road Marathon, which will be held in the city of Rhodes, on Sunday, 29 April 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alongside the 42 km Marathon event, there will also be races: 10 km half marathon (for students over 15 years old), 5 km race (students over 12 years old) and 1,000 m race (only for children of primary schools, born between 2006 and 2009).<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants of the 5km and 10km races will be given with their registration: bag, commemorative t-shirt, participation number, commemorative medal, electronic timing with chip, water supply, medical services and online participation certificate. <\/span><\/p>\n

The participants of the 1000m, with their registration will be given: bag, commemorative T-shirt, commemorative medal, water supply, medical services.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the group registration of schools (High Schools and Lyceums) for the 5km. the registration fee has been set at 5\u20ac per person, for the 10km. it has been set at 15\u20ac per person, while the group registration of Primary Schools in the 1000m., is Free.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is an opportunity for students, teachers and parents to participate in an International Race, with all the specifications required and to gain a unique experience of this great event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The race is certified by the SEGAS, the IAAF & the International Marathon Federation AIMS and is co-organized by the SEGAS Dodecanese, the South Aegean Region, the DOPAR and the non-profit company \"Marathon Rhodes\", with the support of the Rhodes Hotel Association. <\/span><\/p>\n

We hope that, as in the 2017 Marathon, your participation will mark the success of this year's event.<\/p>\n

The secondary school with the most entries will receive sports equipment worth 300\u20ac.<\/span><\/p>\n
